kernel install - very slow weak modules / depmod step

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I've been installing kernel-core-5.6.0-0.rc3.git2.2.fc33.x86_64 on a
very fast AMD server and it's taking many minutes (at least 5 minutes
and I'm still waiting). The slow step seems t be running some new
thing called "weak-modules", and many depmod invocations underneath.
