When it's doing a database dump the db slows down a lot. :( That backup starts sometime after 00:00 (a random time) and runs until usually 06-07UTC. I fear the only way to fix those db dumps causing slowness is to take a day or two downtime and partition the offending table. ;( But that backup should have been over by a few hours ago... so not sure if thats what you were seeing or not. kevin
