I think Fabio meant that the private key (.ssh/id_rsa) should be mode 600.
Public key (.ssh/id_rsa.pub) must be mode 644. What are the permissions
on .ssh directory (ls -ld ~/.ssh)?

What does
ssh -vvv mufti11@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
say?
