I think the other thing that's this has been used for is making it
easier to adapt the existing pipeline for non-RPM artifacts
(containers, flatpaks, etc.). I'm not sure that this is the right
layer for it, but there's been a fair bit of talk about leveraging
modules for producing those non-rpm deliverables.

The current situation is that nobody working on MBS knows how to work
with libsolv. Igor used to be the Red Hatter who knew how to work with
it, but he no longer works there (even though he's still part of the
community).
