ABRT configuration service removal

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all,

ABRT currently provides a D-Bus daemon, abrt-configuration, for reading and changing the config files of ABRT and its plugins. It was introduced 6 years ago without much fanfare and its source code has not been touched since.

The original use case seems to have been in machine provisioning, though a quick search through GitHub and reverse dependencies suggests that it's not used publicly in any piece of software. Hence, its removal from ABRT is currently being considered.

Is anybody here using or aware of somebody else using the abrt-configuration daemon in their workflow?

Kind regards,
Matěj Grabovský
