from everything ive seen  the intent is to have extras enabled by
default in all repository aware tools that ship in core, yum,up2date
and pup (when its ready).
It should be just as easy to verify that a package is from extras as
it is from core, when trying to compare your system to a user's
system.  It's not like it was safe to assume users weren't installing
3rd party versions of the games before... its the same verification
step.. its just from a different repo at download.fedora.redhat.com
Is there something specific about how Extras are built that makes
debugging harder for you?
