Just as a quick heads up, this was accepted as a Freeze Exception in yesterday's blocker review meeting. We've tracked down a few regressions in the initial megaupdate and (hopefully) fixed those, and I think it should be good to go to stable soon. Bodhi karma and testing appreciated if you're running F29 with updates-testing enabled.
