If Eclipse and the other Java stuff were moved to extras, gcc4 could go as well. Drop that and compat-gcc (and maybe the other compat-packages) and it would be close. Unpopular choices: - emacs vs. xemacs - mysql vs. postgresql - mozilla vs. firefox/thunderbird - openoffice.org vs. koffice vs. abiword I don't see GNOME vs. KDE as an option; both are pretty much required to provide a complete desktop. XFCE however could go. Would there be a way to divide up the i18n stuff?
