Actually it's not that easy as you might think ☺

Main issue is versions of dependencies: you don't really want to package all
versions of libs in your dependency chain, so you should try to port to new API
 (in many cases, just bumping version is enough).

And obviously, submit all patches to upstream.

Although I definitely do agree that writing such article would be good, but
before I would like to do some improvements in rust2rpm. Also I've submitted
talk (workshop) for devconf.cz, so if it will be accepted feel free to come 😉
