Just tested the 4.12.9 - Two Finger scrolling is working there just fine.

I have the same issue on Lenovo X1c. For me too is appeared
recently, but I haven't tried to narrow it down.

I'm pretty sure it's this bug:
It talks about spurious middle click events, but I'm also seeing extra right click events and broken scrolling, I believe it's all tied together.

Try kernel 4.11 to confirm.
