I just discussed this off-line with authconfig maintainer and if I got
his words correctly, the preferred option generally is to not call
"authoconfig --update" (the "authconfig --update" was neither called for
change [1], which was the beginning of this matter).

Another part of discussion was that authconfig is about to be sooner or
later deprecated and this is the first step [2]. From that point of
view, I still prefer to not call the "authconfig --update" and keep the
warnings in my logs [3].
