I did not use clang-format, so I really can not say much about it.

But at the moment, there is a package with an active upstream, that is
used by (at least) two other packages.
I can't say anything about arduino, but the source-formatter-plugin of
codeblocks uses astyle and there are currently no developers, at least
no one of the codeblocks team (I am part of codeblocks upstream),
working on a clang-format plugin.

But it sounds interesting and I might look into it.

A problem is, that codeblocks is a cross-platform IDE and it's not easy
to keep it in sync on Linux, Windows and MacOS (the last is the most
difficult, due to a lack of C::B developers on Mac).
