You would remove "temporary versions" with official release.
I know it's not ideal and would require to rebuild some packages.
But it would be much better then current problematic approach.

This would potentially make a lot of software in third-party repositories uninstallable. This would be much more difficult to work around than a simple ”dnf update” command, so I don't think it's an improvement.
