Re: Disable ipv6 doesn't work

The problem that I have is that Gmail is utterly slow in IMAP (evolution, thunderbird, etc...) on my computer unless if I disable ipv6. I had a hard time to figuring it out ! Disabling ipv6 in NetworkManager should be enough I think but that don't change anything. If I'm wrong I will be happy to have an explanation but for now I think it's a bug. I opened an issue upstream:

I found the way you said to completely disable the ipv6 but I also found this way that I use:

/etc/default/grub
 GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="... ipv6.disable=1"
