I'm not sure I understand the question, but perhaps you mean why don't I like KDE? I don't have any dislike for KDE. I was simply suggesting using another DE as a troubleshooting measure. Sometimes breakage is confined to a particular one and switching to another will allow you to work around or better troubleshoot the breakage. If you are running rawhide, IMHO, it's always a good idea to have several DE's installed and ready to run for this reason. kevin Hi thank you for the comprehensive answer. because with a whole host of problems, including the one I reported in an other place I would also understand why alsa / pulseaudio fail to use and or to let me select the correct device using kde system settings or plasma-pa regards .g |
