still works for me on F23 (nm-1-0).


F24 comes with 1-2-rc1. There it might be different... If your nm-
openvpn plugin is of version 1.2, you might need to set
  "supports-multiple-connections=false"
in both
  /etc/NetworkManager/VPN/nm-openvpn-service.name
  /usr/lib/NetworkManager/VPN//nm-openvpn-service.name
After that, the steps above should work again.
