Yeah, that does the trick:

[adamw@adam comps (master %)]$ LC_ALL=de_DE.UTF-8 ssh www
/bin/bash: warning: setlocale: LC_ALL: cannot change locale (de_DE.UTF-8)

[adamw@adam comps (master %)]$ ssh www

note this is on Rawhide, not F24. Dunno if it affects F24.
