It looks like there is (again?) an authentication problem with gdm. Namely, when I'm trying to use LDAP authentication, both local login on a regular console and slogin work like a charm, but gdm fails with the error: "cannot set your user group, you will not be able to log in, please contact your system administrator" Now, this is what I get in /var/log/messages: Jan 12 01:03:16 saturn gdm[2847]: Cannot set user group for bugger Jan 12 01:03:53 saturn gdm[2847]: Cannot set user group for bugger I've done my homework, but I can't seem to find anything useful. Now, I did find a _very_ similar bug reported (strangely enough) exactly one year ago: http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-devel-list/2004-January/msg00726.html but that didn't help much either. Any hints would be much appreciated! -- Dimi.
