Yeah, it would be really nice to be able to do:
gnome-software foobar.appdata.xml.
Apart from obvious convenience, this would have the additional advantage
of not requiring root privileges.

Interestingly enough, while all searches failed, listing the installed packages and scrolling down to it worked. Strange.
