The KDE lives seem to be booting to a black screen. I filed this back
when it started happening:

now the dependency issues have shaken out and we're getting lives
again, it still seems to be a problem...

It's hard to tell because you don't have the whole trace visible, but that looks like possibly a bad download, with the gunzip stuff... I'll try it here when i get home, did you write to DVD or USB? If USB, how did you write it? Thanks!
