Hello, I'm interested in taking over beanstalkd (at least for EPEL) but will take it for all of fedora as well if the maintainer is completely gone as opposed to not interested in EPEL. The maintainer in question is Jeremy Hinegardner, (jjh). A bug report requesting the el7 branch be created for beanstalkd on Sep 2014 [1]. The maintainer didn't respond, however one of the comments is from someone who said they contacted the maintainer Jeremy Hinegardner, who said he was no longer active in the EPEL community. The last build by Jeremy was Sep 2013. There is a new release of beanstalk (1.10) released August 2014. I've sent a personal email only two days ago and requested commit rights on the package. Both have been unanswered. I've only started looking at this the last few days however I feel like its pretty obvious that at least for this package the maintainer is un-interested. Should I still wait the three weeks or would it be okay to request ownership through FESCO? -- Nathanael -- devel mailing list devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.fedoraproject.org/admin/lists/devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
