I totally misunderstood the question. Martin (added you back to CC as you don't seem to be subscribed to the devel list) -- if you want to avoid retiring vdr-live, epoch bumping tntnet and cxxtools back to 2.2 sounds about right to me too, especially given that they only appear to be used by vdr-live.
