So it appears that fedora 22 is the issue, or the build of one or more parts of the gvfs stuff, or ??? Nautilus is also buggy, and doesn't reflect the phone or any file systems because the sidebar which showed other file systems has disappeared for some reason. I don't know if that is related or not.
