The only one remotely reasonable is the kernel-PAE thing, but it
wouldn't be a rename.  It would be shipping only a PAE enabled kernel
for i686 and just calling it kernel.  This would match what almost all
other distros do here and it's probably time we drop the non-PAE
kernel.
