Hi: We've talked about this before. It's implemented in fedora.us, livna.org, and pyvault. But, I'm beginning to be weary about an issue brought up concerning read-only /usr and tripwire installs with a Python putting non-fingerprinted .pyo files under lib/python2.3/. Has anyone ran into this issue and/or can comment on it? Should we just package .pyo anyway? (This also applies to upcoming Fedora Extras packages, too.) thanks, -- -jeff
