We already had a brief discussion with pingou this morning (UTC) on this topic.
Pingou has created a nice post on this: http://blog.pingoured.fr/index.php?post/2015/06/29/FESCo-vote-history

I am not sure what caused such a low number of voters. Here are some thoughts/areas what we can possibly be improved:

* Better timing
  -- I do not think this is the case as I am not aware of any big event which possibly limited people to vote.

* Prolongation of voting period
  -- For the last two Elections we had one week voting period only. In the past we typically had two weeks voting period. Possibly some people might were off-line for a whole week and had a limited chance to vote. However the previous Elections (also with the voting period of a one week) were the second in number of voters.

* Better advertisement
  -- Any ideas how to attract people to vote ?
  -- Nominated people to present them self in their own way ...

Any ideas are welcome.

I think if possible we should avoid voting period when there is any big event is happening. Like we had FUDCon Pune happened last week so many people in APAC were busy for this event.

Also we need more promotion on Fedora Planet or Fedora Magazine when voting opens then maybe 2 or 1 days remaining post for voting to end. I was busy last week so not sure if someone posted about FESCo voting period there. If we think voting period is less then we may want to extend it to total 10 days.

Regards,
Parag Nemade.
