Hello all,

I've got the misfortune of maintaining a small number of systems that
use
the cx18 driver for their HVR-1600 cards; I'm just in the process of
bringing these systems up to Fedora 21, and have discovered that
cx18-firmware was retired.

As I'm going to have to maintain the package for work purposes, I'm
volunteering to maintain it in Fedora for F21 and later. If anyone's
interested in having it available in Fedora, the review request is

linux-firmware-20150521-52.git3161bfa4.fc22
Obsoletes ivtv-firmware
and ivtv-utils

which provide the utility for activating
the input of the capture card
# v4l2-ctl -i 2
Video input set to 2 (Composite 1)

The solution is to re-install ivtv-utils from f21 with
the -nodeps option

If v4l2-ctl is what you need then nowadays you should
install v4l-utils.
