Got it. So it works because I haven't been using the double colon or
rync:// notation, both of which expect to use the rsyncd over its own
socket. So this change could cause some confusion for those who have
scripts depending on :: or rsync:// connections.

Yes, I missed that the f22 package has
rsync-daemon-3.1.1-6.fc22.noarch.rpm now and it contains the unit
files. I won't file a bug.
