there are unfortunately no real plans, there are attempts to build the
latest mono and eg. monodevelop, but no one tried yet to rebuild all the
packages that use mono, to see what kinds of problems will appear, what
builds and what does not, etc. Also such major version update should be
tracked as an official change [1], the last attempt [2] failed. So
an open opportunity to help Fedora :-)
