Packaging error. You are passing down the LDFLAGS (aka %{__global_ldflags}) from redhat-rpm-config, but not CFLAGS/CXXFLAGS (aka %{optflags} or $RPM_OPT_FLAGS). For compilation and linking in the same compiler driver invocation you need to pass both.
