Hmm, people seem to be confusing 2 different issues here, AFAICT the
hardening problem is a F23/rawhide only problem. The vesa driver
failing to load on F-22 seems to have nothing to do with
missing symbols, The X log file attached to the above bug says:

[    82.967] (II) VESA(0): initializing int10
[    82.970] (EE) VESA(0): Cannot read int vect

So the vesa driver is loaded, but something else goes wrong...
