Fedora Core Release Policy

I dont know if this question was raised before, but is there a general 
policy pertaining to fedora core release cycles? I mean is the release 
policy something similar to kernel releases? (odd for development, even 
for stable/bug-fixed packages?).

I apologize if this would not be the appropriate list, but oh well all I 
need is an answer (from someone).
