For me intentionally *disabling* hardware features, just because some people can be confused, is fundamentally wrong [1]. But I've lost my hope years ago. This discussion has been raised couple of times already. Seems like the lobby is too strong. My advice is to just learn how to live with that. Unfortunately :( regards, J. [1] I know it's a far analogy, but let's try to imagine: Let's disable wifi hardware by default. Why? Because some people are not aware of this feature. They want to use their eth interface, and having wireless interface turned on produces unnecessary „noise” and confusion. If somebody wants to use wifi, they can enable it.
