dnf does what you tell it to do and ask for your confirmation, it is not it's job to protect you from doing stupid things with all kind of stupid logics.

As many others had said, a gun don't protect you for shooting yourself in foot.

Is there anyone working on a protected packages plugin for Dnf?  In the past, it has helped users avoid trashing their systems due to bugs in package-cleanup and so on.  So it is not just the command line users of the direct tools we need to be concerned about.
