Not just servers. Clients that do broadcast or multicast discovery of
other systems acting as servers can also fail with a firewall enabled.
The classic case is SMB browsing.
Sorry, you're right. I was thinking of an idealized "outgoing-connections-only" firewall as opposed to the defaults we actually have.
