In that specific case, my recommendation would be for him to have one of his packages create a subpackage that dropped that library in a non-system location (/usr/lib[64]/myproject-shared/mylib.foo) and then the other packages can link to that library directly. Putting a library in a private location is a clear sign that other projects shouldn't attemp to use it (and that you make no claims whatsoever about its suitability for any other purpose). -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iEYEARECAAYFAlNEOP0ACgkQeiVVYja6o6OkEgCfbpdmaPIJDPslgFSGBO5pNorM E5gAoKdGM1QcaDWOcdu4/3rM6kf4TGcm =bPiH -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- devel mailing list devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/devel Fedora Code of Conduct: http://fedoraproject.org/code-of-conduct
