In the docs at http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/udev/ Palm Pilot If you have udev >= 032-5, execute the command: ln -s ttyUSB1 /etc/udev/devices/pilot In my case I needed ttyUSB0 so I did: ln -s ttyUSB0 /etc/udev/devices/pilot syncing with pilot does not work as a normal user for me and only as root. If I put a file in /etc/udev/permissions.d/new.permissions and change pilot to permissions of 0666.
