Yes.  It looks as if Fedora is shipping a truely ancient version (from
2005!).

The sourceforge page appears to be the new location of the upstream.
For some reason I can't quite work out, the version numbers lept from
1.0.24 -> 4.5.0 in 2006, even though it seems to be maintained by the
same author.

Probably a good idea to ask the Fedora maintainer.  I see you've
already filed a bug about it:
