There's nothing in the archives for announce and devel-announce list.
It didn't get announced but is real. Due to the lack of announcement it is being extended a week til 2013-08-30 23:59:59 (the Board ok'd that in today's meeting.) and an announcement will go out. [I guess no one read my blog :)]
