Introduction

Per request at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Join_the_package_collection_maintainers?rd=PackageMaintainers/Join I would like to introduce myself.

Who am I?  Brian Schonecker, RHCE and complete novice at building packages?

What will I contribute?  I have access to an IBM mainframe s390x and am running Red Hat s390x kernel on zLinux.  I would like to create a new repository for s390x packages.   I see that there are CentOS, Red Hat of 32 and 64 bit architectures.  I think that there must be someone out there that would appreciate binary RPMs available from a Yum repository for the Z series mainframe.

I'm not sure exactly how to start.  I certainly won't maintain the source or the SPEC files as all I've done so far is just build the binary RPMs from source.  I'm looking to build the binary RPMs and then upload them for the world to enjoy.

Any help from veterans or novices would be appreciated.

Brian
