The O_NONBLOCK patch got dropped from the kernel because it broke too many applications, but it'll probably be back. specifying O_NONBLOCK, then failing to handle EAGAIN reasonably is is an application bug. Unfortunatly, it's a bug that hasn't actually been visible until now. -- JF
