Nope. Just a mistake. ;)
The pre-beta status wasn't updated everywhere, and the job that does
the nagging had old config. ;(

I have the impression (which might be worng ;)) that this happens
repetitively every release. So I'm wondering, if this step isn't
under-documented in alpha freeze check-list, if something like that exists?
