No, this is very unlikely to push upstream. We use https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_debug_printing_problems#Printing_troubleshooter to collect this sort of info.
Also, "what filters did I run to get to this point of output" in a log file. Will the "running cups filters" by hand thing be updated?
I updated that section, hopefully the filter pipeline is now more understandable.
