Can you clarify what 'utterly 32bit only means'.
Does it mean can't adress >2GB files ?

Apple on 64bit-PPC is shipping sqlite alongwith its Tiger release next year

Mozilla/Firefox/Thunderbird are moving to using sqlite as their storage
subsystems and they run on non x86 and 64bit systems
