That would be great, I have not found any official request for it, there was only short -g3 discussion in: Summary/Minutes from today's FESCo Meeting (2012-06-18) http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/devel/2012-June/168884.html The new -g3 format by Jakub Jelinek has only very small debug info size increase requirement (FIXME: missing numbers here).
