Alternately, "Feature" could be the term for the any small or big thing which is useful to track and tout for marketing purposes, and big technical changes could be, I dunno... "Major Changes". Or "Alterations" or "Evolutions" or "Disruptions" (well, that's a little negative so not that). For example adding systemd is a feature, while making it the default is a big change. Same with firewalld.
