Oh... but this does not make the label thing better. initrd images are superfluously in most cases and are making the booting yet more slow. It is stupid that the FC kernel package (resp. /sbin/new-kernel-pkg) creates LABEL entries in grub.conf although already existing templates have working device-names. Enrico
