Hello,
freeglut is mine and I wonder whether the new mesa-libGLU package misses the
"Provides: libGLU-devel" on purpose or if it was just an omission.
See 20120908 rawhide report's "mesa" changelog:
| - Drop libGLU subpackage, split off upstream
Which translates to:
* drop mesa-libGLU/mesa-libGLU-devel subpackages, which provided "libGLU"
and libGLU-devel
How to proceed from there, the changelog doesn't tell.
mesa-libGLU is now an independent package (i.e. not a sub-package of
mesa), with a sub-package of mesa-libGLU-devel. However, these new
packages are missing the provides for libGLU and libGLU-devel that the
original sub-packages of mesa had. I commented on the mesa-libGLU review
ticket (http://bugzilla.redhat.com/854377) to that effect and hopefully
it will be resolved in due course.
Paul.
