Self-introduction and request for a sponsor

Hello there,

My name is Ryan and I am a faceless, thoughtless graduate student at the
Georgia Institute of Technology. I am pursuing a Ph.D. in machine
learning, but realistically I seem to spend all my time doing software
development and systems administration. I've been the president of the
Georgia Tech LUG for some years and I think I still hold some leadership
position there but I'm not sure what.

I spend my time (when I am not having an existential crisis) developing
a machine learning library called 'mlpack', which after some years of
painstaking refactoring and many iteractions between head and desk, was
finally released. Now that it has been released, we are trying to push
it into various repositories so it is easier for people to install and
use.

I have prepared a spec file and SRPM in bug #843997 [1] and am looking
for a sponsor, as it is my first Fedora package. I believe that I have
followed all the package guidelines properly. Hopefully someone can
take the time and help me learn all the necessary skills to get this
properly packaged, otherwise I will be forced to read Ph.D. Comics
incessantly, then spiral into depression as my research assistantship
runs out, eventually resulting in certain substance abuse and addiction
and jailtime. Oh, the humanity!

I can be found in IRC as 'naywhayare' and I also communicate through
email and/or carrier pigeon (whichever medium is most convenient).

Thanks,

Ryan Curtin
