The GNOME mime stuff changed and broke things.  It should come back in
FC3 once someone tells me how it's supposed to work now ;)

There have been a few threads on this... realistically, the best option
is getting the work done so that system-config-packages sits nicely on
top of the new yum stuff.  Not going to happen for FC3 at this point,
though.
